KEEP IN TOUCH WITH CAMPERS DURING CAMP

Camp Kimama promotes interpersonal relationships, independence, personal empowerment and leadership. We believe that in order to create cross-continents friendships we have to create a unique environment. Nowadays, children are spending a lot of time with cellular devices, computers, Facebook, apps and other social media. It is often isolating them from the environment. We believe that the summer without this technology, can create a special and unique experience. Therefore, the use of mobile devices / PCs / tablets, etc. at Camp Kimama is not allowed. Devices that are brought to camp will be kept securely in camp office. Therefore, it is recommended to bring a camera and music separately. For the success of the entire camp, we ask you to respect our rules.

HOW CAN I CONTACT MY SON/DAUGHTER DURING CAMP?

Each of Kimama’s camps have a fully working office throughout the summer. Parents are welcome to contact their campers camp office for any information or queries they have. We allow campers to contact home once during camp, at the end of the first week. Of course, if there it is an emergency – we will contact you immediately.

HOW CAN I SEE PHOTOS/GET UPDATES OF WHAT'S HAPPENING AT CAMP?

Kimama invite you to be part of the camper’s experience. Every day, we will send a daily update with links to the camps photo galleries to your personal E-mail, we take hundreds of photos and videos every day, and upload them to our Facebook page.

HOW CAN I COMMUNICATE WITH MY SON/DAUGHTER AT CAMP?

During camp, parents (and other family members, too) are welcome to send E-mails to the camp office’s E-mail address, you can send as many as you want! You can send pictures of the family or the dog, letters from grandparents, friends, stories and anything to make your camper happy. We can assure you that they will be happy and excited. Every day, after lunch, we print your emails and give them to the campers. Camp E-mail addresses are available on our webpage “Contact Us”. Please send according to your campers camp.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY SON/DAUGHTER ARE OK?

Please feel free to call the camp office and ask about your child. The office will record your questions (Who is his best friend in camp? What workshop he likes the most? Did he take medicine yesterday?) and send it to your child’s counselor and unit heads. They will speak with your child, ask him, and the office will contact you back. We promise to call you back.

The camp does not keep shabbat, and our kitchen is 100% Kosher.

Yes. Our program is designed so that all campers experience most of the activities we offer such as sailing, kayaking, speed boating, martial arts, theater, music, dance, soccer, basketball, arts & crafts, nature crafts and more. All campers can participate in leading our kabbalat shabbat. As campers grow and continue to return to Kimama, they participate in activities created for their age group, many of which are new. The educational topics we deal with are different for each age group as well.
